$ 210,000 to renew the permanent exhibition of the Exporail Museum

Saint-Constant - Wednesday, January 24, 2018 - The Exporail Museum's permanent exhibition will be renewed thanks to the allocation of $ 210,000 from the Canada Heritage Fund for Cultural Spaces.

The MP for La Prairie, Jean-Claude Poissant, made the announcement today on behalf of Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly.

This money will enable the museum to continue to fulfill its mission of preserving and enhancing Canada's railway heritage.

"I look forward to the renewal of the permanent exhibit, which will enhance the content and visual presentation of the exhibition," said La Prairie MP Jean-Claude Poissant. These additions will certainly increase ridership and diversify the public who will visit this fascinating museum that is the pride of his region. "

"The grant will equip Exporail with lighting and museography equipment to innovatively enhance the value of our collection," said Exporail Executive Director Nadine Cloutier. In this perspective, the diversity of the proposed themes and the related cultural programming will expand the visitor experience. "
